The Shards of the Past event lasts three days and becomes available at team level 15 once you complete the 11th mission in the Campaign. Complete quests to get resources for upgrading heroes and Realm, as well as Talisman Coins to spend in the event shop!

This special event has two versions, depending on whether you have access to the Realm.
- The first one is available if you have not yet unlocked the Realm game mode.
- The second one is available after you build a level 1 Town Hall in the Realm.
The Shards of the Past version is determined at the start of the event and remains unchanged, even if you unlock Realm or upgrade Town Hall during the event. Quest chains and rewards differ between the two event versions.
The event has several quest chains:
- Dominion Calls, where you can receive Artifact Coins, Season Points, and Manuals for logging in to the game daily.
- Wise Exchange, where you can receive Artifact Coins, Season Points, Chaos Cores, Relic Shards, a Talisman, Artifact Essence, Scroll, and Metal Chests, and different Speedups for spending emeralds.
- Mark of Honor, where you can receive Artifact Coins, Relic Shards, different Speedups, and Tomes Caskets for scoring VIP points.
- Trial of Strength, where you can receive Artifact Essence Chests, Season Points, Relic Shards, Rune Spheres, Talisman Coins, and different Resource Packs for fighting in the Grand Arena.
- Taming Hydra, where you can receive Artifact Coins, Season Points, Relic Shards, Rune Spheres, Talisman Coins, and different Resource Packs for battling Hydra.
- Price of Power, where you can receive Artifact Coins, Season Points, Meta Cubes, Mastery Crystals, and different Resource Packs for spending Rune Stones.
- United Front, where you can receive Artifact Scroll Chests, Relic Shards, Rune Spheres, Talisman Coins, Meta Cubes, Mastery Crystals, and Chaos Cores for earning Guild Activity.
During the event, only one of the following quest chains is active: Tower Trophy, Keepers of the Borders, or War Cry.
- Tower Trophy, where you can receive Artifact Metal Chests, Relic Shards, Rune Spheres, Talisman Coins, Meta Cubes, Mastery Crystals, and Chaos Cores for opening Tower Chests.
- Keepers of the Borders or War Cry, where you can receive Artifact Metal Chests or Artifact Scroll Chests, Relic Shards, Rune Spheres, Talisman Coins, Meta Cubes, Mastery Crystals, Chaos Cores, and different Resource Packs for defeating Monsters or training troops.
Note: The Keepers of the Borders or War Cry quest chains are available if you have reached team level 80 and built level 1 Town Hall in Realm. These quest chains take turns, so a different chain may be available in each event. Quest conditions depend on your Town Hall level.
Rewards such as Manuals, Speedups, Tomes Caskets, and different Resource Packs are available if you have access to Realm.
