Empower your heroes with Relics! This article explains how they work and enhance your heroes' abilities.
Basics
The Relic grants new skills to a hero and improves existing ones. We will take a closer look at this feature in the next section.
The Relic also improves two secondary hero stats, which are chosen according to the stat with which hero skills scale:
- If the heroes' skills scale with magic attack, the Relic will enhance health and magic attack.
- If the heroes' skills scale with physical attack, the Relic will enhance health and physical attack.
Learn how to determine the stat on which hero skills depend in this article.
Though you can access the Relic screen starting from team level 15, the Relic itself unlocks only when your hero reaches level 50 and has four evolution stars.
To see the requirements for unlocking Relic, what stats it improves, read the description of new skills, and so on, open the Heroes tab, select a hero, and navigate to the Relic tab.
Exclusive Skills
The Relic tab features four Exclusive Skills that unlock when you upgrade the Relic to the specified levels:
- Level 1. When you unlock the Relic, your hero gains a new active skill.
- Level 10. The ultimate skill (grey) from the Skills tab gets an enhancement.
- Level 20. Another skill from the Skill tab gets an upgrade. The skill is different for each hero: for example, Somna will have her third skill (blue) enhanced, whereas Arachne will receive a boost for her second skill (green).
- Level 30. When you max out the Relic, a new passive skill will unlock.
When you enhance an existing ability from the Skill tab, the basic action of that ability remains the same, but the skill becomes more powerful and gains new effects. In addition, its icon changes from standard to gold:
Note: In a battle, brand-new skills (those unlocked at levels 1 and 30) do not grant energy to a hero upon activation, unless otherwise specified in their skill description. To view the skill description, press its icon in the Relic tab.
Upgrading Relics
The maximum Relic level is 30. To power up the hero's stats and unlock Exclusive Skills, you need to level up the Relic with Shards. Tap the resource name below to learn more.
| Such Relic Shards are named after the hero who can use them. They are used to unlock a Relic and upgrade its level. |
You can get individual Shards:
- in special events;
- in the Relic Pass;
- by purchasing offers.
You can press the green plus button next to the individual Relic Shard counter to view how to get them:
To upgrade the Relic, you may use three options:
- Use individual Relic Shards. If you have enough Shards of this type, you can use only them.
- Use universal Relic Shards. The game will suggest using this option if you have enough universal Shards and do not have individual Shards.
- Use Shards of both types. If you do not have enough Shards of one type, you can combine them. The game first counts the individual Shards you have, then adds universal Shards from your balance to reach the required number.
The number of Shards required to reach the next level:
| Level 1 (unlocking the Relic) | 50 individual Relic Shards |
| Levels 2–5 | 20 any Shards you have |
| Levels 6–10 | 40 any Shards you have |
| Levels 11–15 | 60 any Shards you have |
| Levels 16–20 | 100 any Shards you have |
| Levels 21–25 | 150 any Shards you have |
| Levels 26–30 | 200 any Shards you have |
Note: To unlock levels 10 and 20, your hero needs to meet additional requirements:
- Level 10 — Blue rank and the Absolute evolution (6 stars).
- Level 20 — Violet rank.
As you upgrade Relics, the hero's avatar changes in the All Heroes screen and during team assembly. The color indicates the Relic's level:
- Level 1 — green,
- Level 10 — blue,
- Level 20 — violet,
- Level 30 — orange.
In battles, the avatar remains standard. Instead, the unlocked Relic appears next to the hero. It uses the same color and level indicators as the avatar:
This is how a hero with Relic looks in battle:
Relic Pass
With the release of new Relics, you can participate in the Relic Pass and earn individual Relic Shards. The Pass is usually named after the hero whose Shards you can obtain.
You can access the Relic Pass from the Season screen:
To earn its experience points, complete quests of the concurrent special event. Tap the Quests button in the upper-right corner of the Relic Pass screen to quickly access the event.
